Complimentary Veterinary Nurse Clinics
Run by our experienced veterinary nurses these include: pet behaviour, weight & dietary advice, 6 month adolescent checks, dental advice, flea & worming.
Medical Investigations
If your pet requires more complex treatment, we use diagnostic investigations to help us to identify the cause of the problem. These include: x-rays, in house blood screening, urine testing and ultrasound scanning.
Retail Area and Pharmacy
We sell a wide range of pet foods as well as collars, leads, training aids, pet toys, etc.
Surgical Procedures
We have a fully equipped operating theatre and recovery wards on site to enable us to carry out routine procedures and deal with emergencies.
Visits and Pet Collection
During opening hours we provide a home visit service and a pet collection and delivery service. Please ask a member of staff for more information.

Animal Health Certificates
Pet travel to the EU changed on 1st January 2021 and EU Pet Passports are no longer valid for entry to the EU. An Animal Health Certificate (AHC) will now have to be issued by your vet. We can provide this service at Barnhouse. Please see our 'Advice & FAQ's' section for more information.

Pet insurance offers peace of mind should your pet have an accident or fall ill and require complex or long term treatment. Our knowledgeable staff can offer advice about the different types of cover available.
Pet Dentistry
Dental disease is one of the most frequent ailments seen by Veterinary Surgeons. Tartar and bacteria on the teeth will at some stage lead to infection and gingivitis if left untreated. If you are concerned about your pet's oral health, we can perform an oral assessment at the Surgery. We may suggest a scale and polish to help keep things at bay, sometimes further treatment such as extractions are necessary.
